Abstract
Recently the roles of the emergency room are more emphasized, because the number of emergency room patients including trauma has increased as a result of increased general population and the number of traffic accidents, industrial accidents,

down injuries, fight-related injuries and sports-related injuries. An concominant change in the night life has also playead a role in the increasing incidence of traumatic emergency patients. And they had required a prompt and adequate
treatments.
Such
a prompt and adequate treatment is possible when the medical and paramedical interdepartmental relationships are smooth and organic.
During the last year, from January to December 1991, total 9966 cases of emergency patients had been treated at Emergency Room of Ewha Women University Medical center, including 3131 cases of trauma patients. In order to look for a more
appropriate

2) The most common group of age was in 3rd decade(30.6%), and males predominated over females by 1.97 : 1.
3) The most predominant monthly distribution was May, 96%, and the least was January 6.2%.
